As information, Terengganu is a state located east of Peninsular Malaysia. If you travelling by bus from Kuala Lumpur then it will took roughly 6 hours of road journey. As we know Terengganu is really well known for its islands such as Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian and Pulau Lang Tengah. Eventually, Terengganu has more interesting on what we know today.
La Hot Spring @Besut
If you at the Lata Kolam Air Deru Ecopark then it only took 5 minutes drive away to La Hot Spring. The water temperature achieves 100 degrees celsius at La Hot Spring. In addition, the entrance fee for adult is RM2.
For knowledge, bathing or dipping at the hot spring is really good for your health, especially blood circulation.
Rumah Botol (Bottle House)
The owner for the Rumah Botol also known as Bottle House is Pak Ali. Until today, he has collected more than 7000 bottles at his house. He started to collect the bottles when he found out a number of drifted bottles being disposed along the beach.
He felt worried about the safety of visitors on the beach as the drifted bottles on the beach as might broken up into pieces and cause accident happens as well as polluting the sea.
Terrapuri Heritage Village
The owner bought over the traditional houses from the local Malay and transformed them into a resort/villa at the Terrapuri Heritage Village.
Terrapuri (The Land Of Palaces) is a conservation and restoration project of Terengganu Malay Classic house. Its feature 29 antique hundred years old Classic Houses. The layout of the resort is inspired by the 17th century Terengganu Palace and its surrounding.
The houses were built entirely of cengal wood. Terengganu Classic houses (Between 100-250 years old) in refurbished splendeour and reassigned luxurious as residential villas with air conditioning and ceiling fans. The heritage villas feature unique traditional décor.
Handicraft Centre @Setiu
One of the well known mak cik in Terengganu took 30 minutes for weaving the basket. She might not be perfect like us( because she is handicapped with only one eyesight and also mute).
Besut Cruise
An hour-long cruise that takes passengers along a scenic 5km route on Sungai Besut is a big hit with locals and visitors from Kelantan. Launched on Aug 14, the cruise starts from the fishing village of Kampung Payang here in this district.
The passengers will be charged RM120 per trip for a cruise that could cater a maximum of 12 people at the same time.
While on the cruise, one can pre-order the Terengganu authentic cuisine to enjoy onboard. You will be served Terengganu's satar and otak-otak as well as coconut. The extra charge for the food was estimated at around RM70.
There will be three routes.
- The first takes passenger to Kampung Cawat where they can observe village life, including fishermen mending fish cages,
- The second route passenger them around an islet to view fishing villages.
- The third route passenger them to Kampung Tanjung Lali where they can see an old palace, a mosque made of eggshells and other historical buildings.
Lata Kolam Air Deru Ecopark @Besut
Lata Kolam Air Deru Ecopark is a camping site by the river at Besut. The infrastructure of Lata Kolam Air Deru Ecopark is opened officially launch to the public in the March 2018. The Lata Kolam Air Deru Ecopark allocated at the Gunung Tebu Forest Reserve area in Hulu Besut.
There were 3 tiers of waterfall namely Pengkalan Suri, Pengkalan Dua and Pengkalan Raja. Pengkalan Suri is at the lowest tier with a shallow water level that suitable for family activities.
